Dear colleagues:

This is to announce that a new issue of the magazine is available.
Among the topics of this edition (Sept 98), we call your attention
to a paper on "The Psychopath's Brain", by Dr. Renato M.E. Sabbatini,
which not only shows the well-known characteristics of sociopathic
criminals, but also explores the current scientific investigations
by neuroscience on this fearful antisocial personality disturbance.
The paper reviews behavioral, electrophysiological and functional
brain imaging studies (such as PET) recently carried out in several
laboratories. It provides an extensive bibliography and a list of
Internet resources, to anyone wishing to acquire a deeper knowledge
about the subject.

Other topics in this issue include:

- The structure of neurons
- "Mind, Artificial Intelligence and Emotions": an interview with
  Prof. Marvin Minsky (MIT)

See also our new exhibition at the Neuroscience Art Gallery ("Neurons
of Fear and Defense").
