Reminder - Do NOT 'reply' to spam messages through the list!!!

Again a spam message have entered the CLIN_NEUROPHYSIOL list! These messages are very unfortunate as they occupy a lot of bandwith of the WWW (i.e. cause "busy lines") with messages that a considerable part of the users neither have asked for nor are int

erested in.

Although they may be irritating, please note that once such a message have managed to pass the filter functions of the LISTSERVER-computer and enter the list, there is no use in trying to communicate with the original sender through the "REPLY"-function o

f your browser. This will only send your reply to the list, thus causing additional annoyance.

If you would like to contribute to the fight against spamming messages, try to communicate directly with the sender (in case of the last message at the address <noman@AOL.COM>). However, by experience I know that this usually is a waste of time - the add

ress given does usually not work, and hence your message will either bounce back to you or it will disappear far out in cyberspace... >:-o)

Another way might be to try to get software to stop the messages (I've written before about "SPAM-BLASTER" for the Macintosh from SPAM-GOOWARE, but they are temporarily blocked from business by a lawsuit concerning the right to the name "blaster" - see t

he URL at <http://www.gooware.com>), but that will unfortunately not stop spam to enter through discussion lists.
