Dear Sir/Madam,

I am conducting a programme of research with the University of Plymouth, UK. The aim of this research is to contribute to knowledge by extending current research in automatic EEG analysis to:

o       improve detection of the onset of diseases such as dementia

o       improve the ability to follow the progress of a disease

o       improve techniques for evaluating response to treatment

For this research I need to obtain and analyse a significant amount of digitised human EEG data from 'Normal' and demented (Alzheimer's, multi-infarct, Lewy body and mixed type) subjects. It is intended that this data will be obtained from existing databa






ses and from new recordings. The data will need to be well documented and preferably accompanied by a clinical report. The data would be of special interest if had been collected from the same subject over a period of days, months or years.
